Since 1992, Corporate Challenge has been a two-week Sport & Recreation event with a focus on participation, sportsmanship, team building and fun! The Games were created to provide an activity for a handful of local businesses to foster employee interaction, teamwork, morale, pride, and health & wellness. The response proved overwhelming and today the Games have grown to include over 170 companies and over 18,000 athletes in an Olympic-style competition that is one of the largest amateur sporting events in Canada!
In 2021, the games have Re-Activated, Re-Invented and Re-Energized to meet the changing world! We've gone virtual for many events, allowing for even greater participation. Our live events align with ongoing public health measures and are adapted to ensure everyone is safe.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Entry fees are based on the size of your company. This includes all employees in the Edmonton Area.
Fees for 2021 are:
1-49 employees - $1700
50-99 employees - $1800
100-199 employees - $2000
200-299 employees - $2100
300-499 employees - $2300
500-999 employees - $2500
1000+ employees - $2600
* there is a $150/team user fee for teams that participate in golf.
WHO CAN PLAY FOR MY COMPANY?
Anyone who is employed by your company at the time of the Games that is over the age of 18 can play! For virtual events, invite coworkers from other cities to take part as well. Participants can play for one company only.

HOW CAN MY COMPANY SPONSOR THE GAMES?
Our sponsors help us to make Corporate Challenge a fantastic experience year after year while receiving exposure to our diverse audience of Edmonton businesses and employees. Our sponsorships range in prices from $2,000 - $10,000 and we have a great sponsorship recognition program. We'd be happy to customize a package to hit your company's sponsorship goals.

WHAT DO THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF POINTS MEAN?
Corporate Challenge has different ways to earn points. This includes CHALLENGE, SPIRIT and PARTICIPATION points. Events are identified by symbols to indicate what points can be earned by participating in that event.
CHALLENGE points are the points that will take your team to the top of your division and crown you the champions! You earn these by placing in the top 6 of your division. All CHALLENGE events will also award medals to participants placing in the gold, silver and bronze positions after the Games are over.
PARTICIPATION points are earned with every event your company participates in and added directly into your CHALLENGE total - so the more of these you gather the better the chances of winning your division!
SPIRIT points are added together and the teams in each division with the most SPIRIT points at the end of the games will earn overall CHALLENGE points as well as the Spirit Award. Plus, everyone who earns a minimum of 500 SPIRIT points will earn 10 CHALLENGE points.

WILL THERE BE A REQUIREMENT FOR MY COMPANY TO SUPPLY VOLUNTEERS IN 2021?
No company volunteers are required for 2021. Safety and physical distancing requirements led us to re-invent our list of events, changing the majority to be virtual or relying on local sporting clubs to help us implement activities safely and without relying on many volunteers. Expect this to change in 2022!
